One of my first jobs was working in a small town bakery and coffeehouse in upstate New York. I would arrive at 5 am to the smells of baking bread and fresh pastries, Harry Connick Jr crooning on the radio. One of the first things I would do is grind the locally roasted coffee and start brewing for the throngs of people that were about to pounce on their way to work.
