Seaside Reimagined

After several months of 6 to 7 day work weeks, Liam and I decided to hop in the car and travel up to Newport, Oregon to check out the Oregon Coast Aquarium & relax. In all the years we have lived here, we've never been. We work so hard and forget to take in the beauty that surrounds us. 

The aquarium was packed to gills (pun intended) with people. Wading through the masses, we took in the beauty of the creatures who live below the sea. We were fortunate enough to see the otters being fed. Who doesn't love otters? The tanks filled with starfish, fish and sharks. The tunnels above us with a surprise view below our feet as well! 

After a few relaxing meandering hours at the aquarium, we traveled to Newport to check in with the local sea lions and grab some lunch. With our hearts and our our bellies full we checked into our hotel that was located on Agate Beach. The beach was calling us both so of course we had to make our way down and splash around. Probably the best ending to almost perfect day. We loved spending some Mom & Son time together but we'd be lying if we said that we missed Clay (Dad) too. Either way, it was one amazing, relaxing day in a sea of long, run-on, work-filled days.
